I've got it pretty much outlined (there will be a few changes), but I hope to keep this a family-oriented story. This is a wonderful idea I've got (I'm sure there's a bundle of others like it) and I'd like to think a lot of the others stories and ideas from other authors have found its way here.
Some changes:
1. Humans will be removed from the story and will be strictly background, or even removed completely. I might just have the one current HIE story for now and won't do another one until MDC is complete.
2. There will be eventually five or six foals in the group (not all will be ponies).
3. The opening chapter will be completely re-written (my editor is going to throw bricks at me for that).
4. Requirements for VP for the Black Prince has been halved to 3000 instead of 6000. (how'd that get in there?)
5. Changelings will be in the story, but little if any Chrysalis (she's got her own thing going on). As to where they stand in this story, perhaps somewhere between as they would be percieved in the show and not exactly friendly. There are a few scattered here and there that just want to live in peace. I like my idea of Gray changelings, not wanting anything to do with queens and their hives.
6. Legendary items drop more frequently from bosses. (dammit!)
7. The first chapter picks up three years after the twins are born. Ten chapters will cover the year in progress as they...'break in' a new nanny. After having gone through several (Celestia is a rather picky mommy), she finally settles on one who never really considered the job to begin with.
8. The issue of who the father has been settled. It's going to get a lot of 'well, duh!' responses, I think. Readers will either like it or hate it. Ah well.
9. YOU MUST CONSTRUCT ADDITIONAL PYLONS.(Argh!)
10. Finally, to set the tone...I have chosen the theme song for Foals...
The father is batman isnt it? It always is the goddamn batman...
