Freeze Frame on Amazon.com · 10:23pm Jun 14th, 2014
Remember a while back when I wrote a humanized version of Freeze Frame? Well, because I thought it'd be fun, I went ahead and uploaded it to Amazon.com for anyone to virtually buy and download to their Kindle device or computer with Kindle e-reader. I know I sound like an advertisement, but I swear I'm not trying. The book is $0.99 (even less for those in the UK/EU) because I wanted to give it away for free but Amazon said no, so I set the absolute lowest price possible. So, if any of y'all ever wanted to read the book on a Kindle or support the author or whatever, the link to the book is here.
I shit you not, I have to pay to get my own book on Kindle too.
Well, look at you, a published author. Nice.
That reminds me, I'll have to see about obtaining Daetrin's non-pony book as well.

Well, published in the sense of how anyone can be published on Amazon. That said, I hope people enjoy, heh. Thanks for the compliment!
Can I buy it in PDF format? I don't have a Kindle or suchlike.

*nods head toward fimfic profile with a link to where you can read it for free*
How much did you have to pay?
Also, purchased.
2207098
Thank you! And technically I have $-3 in my bank account right now, so I can't even afford the 99 cents to buy it for myself.
To bad I don't have a Kindle to read this on.
Glad to see you moving up! Here's to a prosperous future in literature!

Do it. It's totally worth it.
So I learned from 2207098 that you start your stories as human and then go pony for actually writing it? Freeze Frame makes SO much more sense now.
Transistance works both ways, but I can see Human working better(but for the Mane 6 and immortals making less sense without more backstory).
Reach is weird. It takes place in a very humanized world, but the main conflict is that the "pony" is coming back. It's not even just a straight Shadowrun parallel, since it's so entrenched in MLP themes...

The irony is that the 3 stories you mentioned are the ones that started as ideas for pony stories and only pony stories. Particularly Freeze Frame, that was started before I even knew I wanted to write non-pony. Yes, even Transistance was always to be a pony story.
Oh, and I still have no real clue what Shadowrun is...

Heh. Shadowrun is cyberpunk Reach. No ifs, ands or buts. Magic came back, and now dragons and exist alongside cyborgs and . I actually thought you had been using Shadowrun as an inspiration....
Also, brought the book. Twice. Turns out I was logged into the wrong account on Amazon, so I needed to switch so I could get the new Freeze frame onto my kindle. Don't worry, not asking for a refund . I love your stories, and this is just a cool way to support more of your continued awesome.

Thanks for the support! And that does sound interesting with Shadowrun, particularly that I seem to have managed to get the same idea without having heard of it. And I hope you like the book, I'm going to put another one on Amazon soon, and I'm in the process of writing another that I'll also put on there. Always for 99 cents, too.
2208004
Sorry you had to go through that for my book. If that epub doesn't work or is funky, I could try to convert the raw Word file into epub for you.
2208016
Oh okay, heh.
2208011
Well, i enjoyed pony!Freeze Frame, but the concept of it set on an alternate Earth sounds a lot better.
2208110
Then I hope you enjoy the book!
All the great writers have at least one initial. F. Scott Fitzgerald, J.R.R. Tolkien, Philip K. Dick... Guess we can add one L. Zelda Davis to the list.

This looks really interesting, toix, I think I'll get a copy! It was about time that I read Freeze Frame anyway.
Good to see things working out for you
now to download from Amazon 50 times ...
