Well, this is YoungQuillMaster here for the second time in recent times. Usually I'd wait for a few weeks before putting another blog post, but I felt that I should put this out there. In the last post I said I was putting up a story because it was stuck in my head (at least I tried to get that across). Well I spent yesterday typing it up and submitted it to have it accepted within the hour or very close to that, which was a nice surprise. I came back this morning and already we had 2 likes, 1 dislike, a favorite, and 20 views. All in all that isn't much, but considering that Darkness of Ages has 40 views, 3 likes, 2 dislikes, and a favorite but took several months to get to that I'd say that 'Taurus Rises' is a rather big success for what I had anticipated. Admittedly I had put it up in a group, but still that is a lot of people just glancing at it for such a short time.
Well, it doesn't end there either. I came back this afternoon from a spot of target practice with some friends and I open up the story to see the stats, and saw something that confused me. I looked at the group listing beside the story and saw the Vault of War as I expected, then I saw another one of Minotaur Labyrinth. The thing is I am part of two groups, but the other is a Latin America group (of which I am one [Latin American that is]), so I was intrigued by this. I went back to my user page and sure enough the right groups were listed. I went back and clicked on the link and opened the adventure folder, and sure enough, there's my story. So apparently you can add other people's stories and someone decided that mine fit into that group, which it kind of does.
I find this rather funny really. The reason that is when I initially started typing I was thinking 'Alright, I write this down and hopefully I won't feel compelled to keep on writing so I can keep up with Darkness of Ages.', but here we are the next day with a rather nice sized group of people paying it some amount of attention, so I guess I'm kind of compelled to pay attention to it.
Well I guess I'm going to be writing two stories at the same time again. But this time things might be a bit easier on me because one story has a fixed schedule while the other will be flexible. To be specific, 'Darkness of Ages' releases a new chapter every other Saturday, while 'Taurus Rises' will put up a chapter whenever one gets done.
