I think it's about time we have another big plot moment cliffhanger at the end of the chapter. I can't wait to see the comments in reply to this one. As you might have guessed, this is the beginning of the end of the story. There's just a bit left that I want to do, but there will be room for an epilogue or even a sequel. No promises on anything though.
This romance plot is a super watered down version of the original idea I had, and I think that it's working out better. If I had tried to go with the original plot, there would have many more fluff scenes that didn't serve any purpose but to show that Twilight doesn't know when she's being flirted with. And Celestia would have been much more of a creepy stalker persona. So yeah, this version is better.
I think- and I stress THINK -that there are two more chapters before I'll be done. Might be one, might be three, but I think it'll fit nicely into two. So I'll be aiming for that.

I think chapter 11 gets it right. Celestia admits outright that she was hoping the coma and resulting lost memories would give her a second chance with Twilight, and admits she was taking advantage of Twilight's discomfort. Twilight forgives her, of course, because she prefers this Celestia.
Also, waking up with Celestia using you for a teddy bear has to be wonderfully warm.
