Are MGR's being produced in armory station, possibly the mages guild branch?

MGRs are like their book and game counterparts: from the pre-war era and through some trick of lost knowledge or lack of engineering capability, cannot be created by the Metro itself. I never ironed out why exactly this is, but the most reasonable explanation I can think of is MGRs were made with some form of magic that was exclusive to military manufacturers, and is impossible to recreate with one hundred percent accuracy with the Metro's limited resources.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I was beginning to think this story had gone and died. It's great to see a writer with such talent continuing to do what they do best.

The way I'm thinking, is like guns. Military grade weapons and armor is almost impossible to get. But aftermarket and customization can get you equally good gear. You wouldn't equip an army, but you can equip a few squads. Might not be special forces quality, but not even most of the military has that.

It wouldn't be thrown out, it'd be fired at something.
But yes, ponies can tell the difference between pre-war and post-war bullets and only the pre-war kind are valuable enough to use as money, or extremely dangerous ammunition.
No doubt, Enter the Metro is the best song from the Metro Last Light OST! :D
