Everypony, this is Tooty Fruity.
He is a pegasus stallion who was born and raised as an Enclave citizen (not soldier). He prefers to be called Fruity and that name certainly fits him when he's under the influence of alcohol as he's a horny drunk. Fruity used to work as a Cocktail Bartender and served many pegasi with his cocktails. His special talent was drink mixing and making and the cocktails he made were quite successful for the bar he worked in. He also liked to sample his work and so he usually got a little drunk nearly every night. One day two Enclave Soldiers came to his bar and began drinking, after drinking enough the two soldiers began talking about the wasteland and Fruity overheard them start talking about a strange fruit that grown in the Wasteland called "Mutfruit" and they mentioned that despite its grotesque appearance the fruit strangely tasted really good. Interested about this fruit Fruity continued to serve the soldiers until they were truely pissed and wouldn't remember the conversation to which he asked them where he could find some. Armed with the information of the location of the fruit and blinded by his curiosity about the fruit and the possibilities it might have for his drinks he flew down to the surface against Enclave law. Fruity took a liking to the strange fruit and risked using it in his cocktails which thankfully were a success until the same soldiers returned and tried the new cocktails days later and recognized the taste of the fruit. At the end of his shift that day the soldiers approached him and told him they knew his drinks contained Mutfruit and through that knew he'd been to the surface. Fruity was given a warning and hefty fine for going to the surface. Unfortunately Fruity grew to like the fruit too much and went down again for more and again used it in cocktails but labeled it as a special fruit blend and several days later the same soldiers tried it and despite the Mutfruit being mixed with more things than the previous cocktail still was able to taste the fruit in it and gave Fruity a second warning and a larger fine. It still didn't stop him going down to get more fruit to which this time he'd use only for himself but after going down and coming back up he was met with a squad of Enclave Soldiers including the two that had caught him out twice before as they had suspected he'd go down again. For repeatedly breaking Enclave law by going down to the surface and the warnings the Officer among the soldiers declared that Fruity be branded a Dashite for his repeated illegal trips to the surface and secretly selling banned substances to civilians to which he was then branded with the infamous lightening bolt and cloud insignia of Rainbow Dash, the first Dashite and was cast out of the clouds. Fruity did attempt to go back up shortly after he was taken to the surface after being branded but he was shot at and given a new warning, being a known Dashite he was to be shot on sight.
Fruity spend fives years in the Wasteland before meeting Crystal. He was lucky to have found a long dead Enclave soldier who luckily for Fruity had MK1 Plasma Rifles mounted to a battlesaddle to which he took and used. He learned to scavenge and quickly learned what to and what not to eat and drink on the surface along with the dangers he was going to face. He had kept around the Manehattan area as could find refuge in Tenpony Tower if she was near by and when he was allowed back in.
Fruity likes to use Energy Weaponry as from being an Enclave Citizen he has grown up admiring the soldiers and their weapons until of course they cast him out but he still likes the energy weapons. Fruity had to learn how to use, shoot and maintain his weapons on his own since he was just a Bartender before being exiled to the surface but he learned since it was a matter of life and death to keep his guns in working order. He kept his MK1s working for as long as he could since energy weapons were rare to find in the Manehattan area and the day he saved Crystal from a group of Raiders was the last straw for his MK1s. Fruity learned that Crystal is new to the wasteland and unaware of its dangers and since he saved her from the Raiders he knew she'd run into more dangers she wouldn't be prepared for so in good conscious he couldn't let her go alone and so he offered to stay with her for a while, becoming her companion in her quest to discover the truth about her and this adventure would take him to the other side of Equestria.
The picture above depicts Fruity's appearance in the Marejave as he suggested they dress up in western clothing in an attempt to fit in. The weapons visible are a Plasma Rifle prototype called the Q-Modulator and a Multipass Rifle (Basically a Plasma Shotgun) which he'll soon have in the story. The Q-Modulator is for Medium to Long Range and the Multipass Rifle is for Short to Medium Range.
Fruity is a laid back kind of character despite being exiled and tends to make fun of a lot of things to keep the mood light. He is also easily amused. When drunk he is really horny which suits his name. Being a good natured pony Fruity will help someone if they really need it but that got him into trouble a couple of times. Fruity at first didn't like the idea of killing but over the five years in the wasteland he has grown used to it and come to terms with his first killing as he knows its a way of life in the Wasteland.
