Tap-tap-tap tapatapatap
The grey pegasus rolled onto her side, tapping her thigh with a hoof as she went. She brushed her cotton-candy mane down into her face and tried to sleep.
Tap-dadada Tap-dadada Tap-
“Winter, stop tapping, we’re trying to sleep!” She sighed, fully used to her roommates’ agitation. Rolling onto her back, she spread her wings out and stared at the underside of the top bunk. She knew that her friend would be fast asleep at this point, taking after a certain idol of hers. She smiled as she thought of Scootaloo’s admiration of Rainbow Dash, then looked out the window. She frowned at the angle of the moon. It was far too late to be awake like this.
Then again, how could she not be?
She rolled over, the music in her head blaring, inaudible to anyone but her. Scowling, Winter decided that enough was enough. Mustering up all of her willpower, she changed the tune in her head to something more repetitive, something to help her sleep. She finally drifted off, unprepared for what would happen the next day...
Not bad. Not bad at all. I'm looking forward to this.
