Sharing the Night: Chapter 1 Revisions · 2:23am May 30th, 2014
Sharing the Night: Chapter 1 has undergone some slight revisions, and by "slight" I mean I reformatted some paragraphs, removed a couple of confusing or distracting lines, and—oh—it has about a thousand words more than it did before.
This is not a thing that I'm going to be doing to every chapter—or any other chapters at all. In fact, these changes are ones I made near the tail end of last year and didn't plan on publishing until after I had finished Sharing the Night. Why am I publishing them now, then? Well, apart from the fact that Chapter 1 in particular has always bugged me as being in need of a little fixing, it just so happens that there's a theme in the revised chapter that also shows up in Chapter 11.
It's seriously nothing special. If you're not in the habit of rereading Sharing the Night regularly, you don't need to do so now. If you do so in spite of this advice, you'll probably be disappointed. The jist of it is that Twilight keeps meticulous records of recordable aspects of her life. Yes, shocking, I know. Still, it's a connection that would probably make for a better experience for new readers, so I figured I might as well publish it.
Rather ironically... These revisions have not been proofed by anyone but me, so if you notice anything that's off, please let me know and I'll fix it as soon as possible.
Oh, and Chapter 11 will be published as soon as I finish writing the author's notes, so there's that.
