    Couple more plugs

First off we have a nice Slice of Life story by Snapp Apple called Invasion of the Candy Snatchers! Don't let the Dark tag scare you away; there's zero violence and it's about as scary as the first story arc of the IDW comics. Also, I should probably mention that

Harlan Ellison turned 80 today · 1:20am May 28th, 2014

I got a bit of a scare when I opened Tor.com today and saw a sketch of Harlan Ellison. Usually when David A. Johnson draws a picture like that for the blog, it's because someone important to SF/F has recently died. Luckily, it was really his eightieth birthday.

I discovered Harlan Ellison while watching a certain Extra Credits video. When they got to I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream, I knew I had to have the game, and since it was on sale for half off at the time... The game showed me so much of what you can do with not just Point and Click games but even storytelling as a whole. There are topics that the game addresses that were things I had never thought you could write stories about in such a mature, adult manner. To be honest, I consider the game to be better than even The Walking Dead game from Telltale.*

After that, I went on to read many of Harlan's stories, which were a good part of what sparked me interest in science fiction as a genre. So Happy Birthday Harlan Ellison!

*Opinions may vary.
