Reading Project? · 4:11pm May 27th, 2014

Would you peeps be interested in me blogging as I read through FOE again? I am thinking of rereading it and thought that might be fun.

Thoughts? It would probably be like 5-8 chapters at a time, looking at what works, what doesn't, focusing more on craft and impression than on the plot.

While I'm here! Look at this if you're into radio plays in general and Fallout Equestria in specific. It's alright! Some of the voice actors are kinda off. The voice actor for Little Pip is okay... the voice is a bit too male/cartoony for me, to be honest, but it's not horrible. The narrator gives it a retro 50's feeling, which is an interesting choice. They're really going for a retro feel all around, and sometimes its great and other times I'm not sure. There are places where I think I can glimpse what can be done once they're in the groove of writing/acting and stuff. Their sound effects are actually pretty great! I was very happy about that.

Little Pip sounds like Vinyl Scratch.

Have I ever mentioned that I have always wanted to do radio plays?

Also, the next chapter of THE NIGHT IS PASSING will be up this week, in a day or three.

I'd read it. I actually kinda wanna reread FOE myself, but I don't have time and have a backlog of things to read longer than my leg, so it's not happening anytime soon, but I'd be very interested to see someone else's thoughts on a chunk-by-chunk basis.

I'd be interested! As someone who's not a fan of the basics of FO:E, but in general positive towards the rebuilding/rebirth theme (just not when it mandates the destruction of Equestria first!), I'd like to see it through the filter of your perception-- that would make it a lot more palatable.

do eet fillyy, do eet or ur gey.
I'm interested, FOE is always in topic I'm interested in blogging about. I enjoy seeing what others think about it and sharing my thought about it.

Never read FO:E and all the spoilers I've seen say I probably wouldn't want to. Played FO3 and FNV plenty (and wrote my own mods), but a pony-fied version never thrilled me. Your analysis might spark some investigations, though.

This, however:

is far more fascinating.

I'd like to see you do it. It's always interesting to see another person's take on the story.

I think it would be cool if you blogged as you re-read it. And yeah, Nowacking, the girl that VA's Vinyl, is also VA'ing Lil'pip. I've recently just started listening to the audiobook of FoE while at work, so I'm right there with you on this. I also ordered the book a couple weeks ago, so I can't wait for that to be printed.

I'd be interested in reading that, sounds like a good idea, I should review my old choice of FOE, see if its worth writing it.

Also the narrator sounds like the guy who narrated Walking with Dinosaurs.

Well, it was fun when I did it. It'd be interesting seeing the process from the other side. :3

2150604 I want a picture to see if it truly exists.

I want a printing so bad.

I need it

but yeah! The audiobook I started in on started really lackluster and he got better and better until he was just amazing by the end, expressive and doing voices and everything.

You could sign up for the waiting list. I'm pretty sure some people won't pay or whatever. And I will take a picture for everybody once it comes. But... that won't be happening for a long time. Probably August or late July.
