Chapter 9: Return of the Griffons · 6:12pm May 23rd, 2014
Yeah, minor spoiler in the blog title. So sue me. I want to talk about griffons!
So the Prime Minister was a bit of a challenge. I knew roughly what I was going to do with him. He was going to be someone who Twilight felt like old friends with, someone who reminded her of her friends in Ponyville. But I didn't want him to be too bland or too pony-like. I decided right away that he would be a bit of a jolly fellow, and very physical with Twi. I think I got him down good in the chapter I posted.
I'm not sure how much of Gerald we'll be seeing in the story, to be perfectly honest. I do want to keep the focus on the situation with Twilight as much as possible. There is a very good chance that this was the first and last appearance of the Prime Minister, so I hope it was a good one!
Already got plans in place for the next chapter. And with the holiday on Monday I should be able to get some serious work done on it!
