A very belated response to the season four finale · 8:22am May 20th, 2014
I only have two real thoughts on the matter:
Firstly, "I'm not really certain the power show was necessary," but that doesn't really matter.
Secondly, though: "I wish I had finished Sharing the Night by now because absolutely no one is going to believe that spoiler is where I was going all along."
Seriously. One of the big dramatic moments I have planned, and it's kind of sort of already been done, in a way. I'm not going to change my plans, but still, it's a little disheartening. Oh well, I only have myself to blame. At least I got to the library first. Sure, they destroyed it, but I base-delta-zero'd the everfree castle, so I'll call it even.
Other than that, not a whole lot to say! Sharing the Night Chapter 11 is sitting at 11k words, I just have some tweaking to do and it'll be off to the prereaders, assuming they'll still talk to me.
Funny thing. In the time since I last read this story I have stopped reading this type of story... sorry...

Oh, Sharing the Night is updating soon? That's excellent. It's very enjoyable with a good mix of character exploration and comedy, even if the pacing is a little off sometimes. A very good story overall. If my 'favorites' list and my 'watched' list could be separated out the way they were when the site was younger, Sharing the Night would stay on my much smaller favorites list.
I'm sure it will be fine. It might be frustrating as a writer to have your story ideas pre-empted, but as a reader, I wouldn't be reading MLP fanfiction if I was offended by a story related to one in MLP canon.

But I still serve aboard the warships since they have all the canon. But all those dinghies, not to mention those tugboats, putter about in waters I don't cruise.
