I started playing today, pretty good so far. Nothing overly exciting has happened yet, but I figure if Hearthstone is as fun as it is then the original thing should be just as good in terms of fun and lore.

I recommend trying out a Rogue, they're good fun once you can get a hang of them.
Also, don't expect the game to be extremely immersive or engaging, I made that mistake my first time playing.
The best stuff comes when you're max level, when you do raids and stuff.
2124767 I've played other games like this before so I'm well aware that early quests can be really sucky. Also, Paladin looked the most appealing to me since I usually support/tank for my friends anyway while still being able to kick serious ass when need be.

2124852 I prefer the kind of hit that wipes my foe's family name from the annals of time...and does some serious filler-loosening splash damage to everything around it.
But kicking something's ass with super fast strikes so hard that it has to sit down on its face is also a respectable method. Inferior, but respectable.

I remember getting pulled into that game by a friend. I played as a Tauren Druid until I hit level 70. At that point I was having no fun with the game, so I quit. It just wasn't a game for me. I hope you enjoy it, though!
