Changeling Roun Draft Finished. Godzilla is Awesome · 5:57pm May 16th, 2014
Well, a bit of good news. With Feathered Heart chapter 11 being published, I just finished my next Changeling Roun draft. I'll start writing the next CR draft once I take a nice break. I'm also planning on putting that story on review for TECS (when it's free once more) and WRITE when I finally close out the chapters indicating the story direction.
Also, I just watched Godzilla, and it. Is. Awesome. Anyone expecting another Pacific Rim (another favorite of mines), you'll be slightly disappointed. The focus isn't really much on monster versus monster fighting. It's actually branched out in a complex, yet very well paced focus that goes from multiple perspectives. If I have to say, this is the most perfect example of a disaster movie.
The disaster being prehistoric monsters of old dishing it out.
It's chilling, thrilling, and exciting, with good emotional depth and well rounded cast. The monsters... well, if you've seen Pacific Rim, you know they are pretty much perfect. And the humans aren't complete morons too. Granted, they haven't built giant robots to fight (yet? Maybe? ), but a lot of their actions are played out logically from their perspective.
Watch it!
So no Mecha Godzilla or Mecha King Ghidora. Well, wasn't expecting that anyway. As long as it's truer to the older Japanese ones than the 90's one was (bit of a Godzilla enthusiast)

If by the 90s you mean that awful Godzilla movie? No, it's not like that. Far from it.
I wish there would be sequels. XD Just to see more monsters.
Oh thank god! Oh, by the way, did you see Godzilla 2000? It had a pretty good showdown with Godzilla and an alien that tried to become a clone of Godzilla.
I agree it was a true Godzilla movie at last

I'm not exactly someone who follows the mythos, but I'll see if I can watch that.

Good to know. I'm just a filthy casual, you know. XD
Yup. I've seen Godzilla today and it was really awesome. Really good pacing, a little too..well little monsters but to be honest they were showed in an ideal amount. And there wasn't lost that feel of their sheer size like in Pacific Rim(at least for me, from like middle of the movie the feeling was lost).
Also I really loved that one scene with people running around, screaming, noise and all and suddenly... Gojira roars and everything went silent. Quite epic "Shut the fuck up, King is here".
I don't know why everyone's saying the Godzilla movie is so good. Matthew Broderick's acting was subpar, and for some reason Godzilla was a female and laying eggs all over the place.
I'm seeing it tomorrow!
Sounds good to me.
I loved it! I think one of my favorite parts was at the airport in Hawaii when they show Godzilla and he roars. I literally got goosebumps.
