It takes the smallest things sometimes to kick my muse into absolute overdrive. Case in point: last night while I was waiting for a friend to show up at the coffee shop I was hanging out at, I took the time to go onto YouTube and watch the season finale from this past weekend. And all I have to say about it is... Holy shit. I mean, for real. Best season finale ever. I mean, they actually had a fucking fight scene for once, and they did not disappoint. It had a very DragonBall Z feel to it, and that is by no means an insult. Definitely a 10/10 episode and the best I've seen all season.
Sadly, the next set of episodes won't be coming out until 2015, and I'm afraid they're going to be doing another 13-episode season like they did for season 3, because once again this season is leading up to another Equestria Girls movie, Rainbow Rocks. I've read part of the synopsis of it- the part that talks about Rainbow joining a band- and it looks like once again, I will not be going to see EG2. I said that about the first one, and guess what? I never saw it. Still haven't, actually, and I have no plans to do so. Same for this one.
What does this have anything at all to do with my muse? Well, something inspired me from that episode, one of the new characters. And no, it wasn't Tirek. It was actually Scorpan. First off, I fucking love his character design. It's actually a somewhat original, intriguing design. Second, I really wish he would have shown up in the episode, besides in the flashback scene that Celestia did in the beginning of part 1. And I believe I have come up with a way to incorporate him into Nightmare's Return, which has been in dire need of an update for a very long time.
And that leads me into my final bit. Unbeknownst to me, I passed my one-year anniversary of Nightmare's Return on March 6th of this year. Yep, that's right. I have been writing that story for (now more than) a full year. It's become a real labor of love for me, and it's my favorite ongoing story that I've ever written. (Sadly, all that does is remind me of Taken, which I'm almost positive is dead in the water at this point...) To honor the past, present, and future, I will be posting a full-length chapter of NR today. (On a final note, NR now has over 200 likes as well. You all are pretty freakin' awesome, you know that?)

We're all right. Season to debut in 2015 with 26 episodes.
Season 5 has a full 26 episodes, it's already been confirmed. The reason why season 3 had 13 episodes was to fit the 65 episodes rule. Since most shows made for younger kids only get to 65 episodes before they get taken off the air. So, guys we are the reason MLP is still going.
Also I'd just like to mention that season 4 started as a 2014 release date, but got moved up to November 2013. Season 5 will probably follow the same trend.
