Pony's Sympathy Trailer/PMV Contest! · 2:21am May 4th, 2014
Hey geisels,
Remember when I made that little PMV trailer for Deja Discord while working on it for NaNo 2012?
Well, as I’m in the process of working on the third story in the Sympathy Series, I had given the thought to doing a trailer like that for when story #3 comes a little closer to release.
Sadly though that means that A Pony’s Sympathy, the story that started out this little writing adventure of mine, is left without a trailer of its own to match its siblings. That’s sad, isn’t it? You don’t wanna leave poor aPS all left out, do you?
So I figured since there is a little time before the third story is ready (and since I still have one prize pack left from the Livestream party a few weeks ago) we could have us a little PMV/trailer contest. ^^
RULES
If you’d like to give it a shot, all you need to do is make a trailer, PMV, or some sort of video mashup in a similar fashion to how I did the DD trailer. You can use any sort of music or images you like as long as you feel it fits. The goal is for an accurate/entertaining video that can sum up aPS and perhaps get potential readers interested in giving it a look.
The contest will go from now until the first week of August to give y’all plenty of time to play around and figure out whether you want to do it and then how you wanna go about it if you do.
PRIZES
-The first place video will be featured here on my FiMfic page, and also receive the remaining Pony/Trek prize pack (pony plush, Trek button, Trek magnet)
-The second place video will also be featured here, and receive a reading/narration by me of up to 5K words of a story of their choosing (Note: I’d prefer if you’re choosing someone else's story that you have permission from the author to do so).
-Third place video will also be featured here on my page.
And all entries will get a thank you/mention in the A/N for my third story.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask, and I’ve posted my trailer to give you some ideas/inspiration. Hope you have fun if you choose to enter, I’m excited to see what you come up with!

For fairness sake and all. Though I suppose the third spot would be okay. So. I need to make a vid that is good enough for third spot but sucks enough to not get any higher

2076592 Well, notice I also used sound clips from other things. And you don't have to have voiceovers. Some movie trailers are pretty much just music videos.
