It's been a while, so I decided to review a fic based on a song based on real-life events. And let me tell you it doesn't suck....that much.
First off the fic goes into the gore category and is listed under mature...anyone who can say that better is welcome to do so, because I probably messed up. But I digress.
The fic goes like this: rainbow dash and soarin have a baby. The baby however has severe physical and mental disabilities. Meaning neither rainbow nor soaring can afford to take care of it. So rainbow dash decides to kill it. Now right away, you think "that's a bit out of character for rainbow dash and soarin" and you'd be right. Now the main problem isn't that the characters are out of character, but that they may be the wrong choices for the fic. When a fic is based on a song. The song is basically the blueprints so to speak. You have to choose the right characters or the fic just doesn't work.
Is this a bad fic? Not necessarily.
