Character templates · 11:48pm May 25th, 2012
In future blogging (if you're watching me, that is!) I will be putting down character templates if I ever take up the quill and scroll anymore. Right now I'm trying to act like people actually notice I exist, so bare with me.
So far I have made a mesh and random mess of ponies because I had no idea how to act them out, and being a long time role player, I have noticed I do better monologue than dialogue. I can become increasingly in-depth with how a pony can think, take things, etc., but not how they act. Acting is usually how a story progresses, and this is my week-point! So I think it's better to try a couple new strategies (oh Celestia why am I writing all of this)
Diary/Journal - Single person, thoughts can be expressed evenly and I can get around to using skipping points instead of explaining everything, since this would be a "Found thing" that someone, somepony, or something reads.
Closed Perspective(?) - My way of saying one character says all the shots, and it's from their eyes. I don't know the actual term for it, too lazy to look it up.
I should however work on my weak points. Friendly bits of encouragement would be nice, since I feel like Fluttershy most of the time and one could say that I work better when it's for myself (in my head) than when I put my pen onto the paper, so to speak. I wish to make more in the future, since I enjoy writing pony stories, but I'm beginning to wander if I'm cut out for it. It's difficult to write for the stories so much I ran Applegrove into the ground because I didn't know how to do fight scenes at all. I'm used to the occasional adventurous RP, and so forth my story has suffered.
I hope I can make a top notch story in the future.
Yours Truly,
Nurse Woona.
