A pause, and a lasting goodbye · 10:10pm May 1st, 2014
So, if you have not noticed, I've sorta kinda given up on my two stories. I've run short of ideas, and while they were fun to write, I've decided I'm going to cancel all current stories on my FiM account. Yes, I know... I suck, and I shouldn't just give up. But I did, and I can't write even if I wanted to. I've no motivation.
However, this does not mean I'm leaving, but rather going into a long, drawn-out productive process. This will probably take longer than it should, and it would go faster if my co-author would start putting his ideas on the storyboard! COLORS, I'M TALKING TO YOU! But that's beside the point. I'm writing this so you guys know I'm not dead, because that would suck. I'm working, slow, but working. And to prove it, here's a little thing I wrote the other day,
“Leaving already?” Bass walked over to Octavia, a look of pain on his face.
“I’m not leaving, I’m going home.”
Bass allowed his tears to fall. “But your home is here. With your friends.”
“Bass, you know I’ll never get ahead here, not in this old rundown town.”
“What about Vinyl, Lyra, and the others? What ever happened to that?”
“Don’t bring them up. It hurts too much to think of them.”
“What about me? You were one of the only ones to not brush me off because of my- Look, just…”
“I won’t forget our time together. With Vinyl, Lyra, you. All of you. I have a dream though, and I’m going to follow it.” Octavia smiled weakly, then broke into tears.
Bass walked over to her and hugged her. “I understand you have a dream, we all do. I just wish it didn’t have to be like this.”
A train horn went off, and they turned to see the morning train to Canterlot.
“That’s my train. I’ll write when I settle in my new apartment.”
“Goodbye Octavia.”
Octavia turned to give Bass one final kiss goodbye. “Goodbye Bass.”
The train’s horn blared and Octavia went to pick up her cello. Bass levitated it, a pink aura surrounding it, and placed it on Octavia’s back. She smiled at him, and turned to the train. She stepped on, handing her ticket to the conductor.
Bass watched her as she walked into her car, and she looked out the window one more time, mouthing the words…
I’ll miss you.
I'll be back, I haven't totally given up on writing FiMFics, and I don't think I ever will.
I wrote the Canterlot story because I was in a fit of rage, because of personal problems at home.
I wrote the Lyra-Bons story because I wanted to do a parody, and I've kinda just, meh'd it.
I wrote the Vinyl-Tavi story because of one little thing I had. (I'm glad I wrote it, because it led me to reading University Days, which was awesome.)
Sure I haven't read anything in a while, or even went to this site. I've been busy on this new story. To all my followers, I say sorry, but mostly...
Thank you. Thank you for bearing with me. You can leave if you want, considering I have nothing here anymore. I will be back though. And I will take the fandom by storm.
Your fellow brony
