Alrighty then...something new it is... · 2:51am Apr 28th, 2014
So I've been speaking with Zimprus, my editor, and here's what it boils down to...
Honestly? My ideas were a little loose and not well put together. So, rather than saying the 7th Element is cancelled indefinitely, I may come back to it eventually and reform the ideas with Zimprus's help and create a better story.
In the meantime? I'm going to start writing something new tomorrow. Not necessarily a new series, but a new story nonetheless with a new main character. I'm gonna see if I can get Robsa to come back and do title art again as well. It'll be awesome, and it'll be good for me to start writing again with all the crap that's going down around here.
In the meantime, I do feel really bad cancelling the 7th Element series right out of the blue like this, so if you guys have any ideas for it that I could incorporate to make it a better story, please feel free to PM me or leave a comment. I aim to please guys. :)
Thanks so much for sticking with me. I promise you won't be disappointed. And who knows? Maybe one day Dan will make a comeback.
Cheers.
another rd ship?

Aw... I really hope you get back to it at some point at least. :(
Oh well, lets see if this new story you're coming up with will be interesting.
Man that sucks.
Well, curious to see what you will do. In terms of your 7th element fic, I would perhaps tell you to consider changing up your original plans in several ways. It's just, no offense, some of the ideas you were planning on doing just didn't sound strong. It's kinda like it was being forced. Kind of where I had a small problem with the original 7th element, when that zebra villain comes in from nowhere and is as strong or even stronger than discord

That's what I was discussing with Zimprus. He agrees with you. However, we decided that it will take time to formulate those ideas, so we're gonna start with something fresh. I just hope everyone doesn't get all butthurt about it.
2055386 well, I've also learned from writing while you want to try and please some fans, don't destroy your idea for them. Sometimes you have to follow what you want.
If you need other help, id gladly offer it as well
My advice for you is to take the 7th element where ever you wanted to take it.
In my opionon, the 7th Element trilogy was okay.
The first story was the best the ideas were fresh and you had the most enthusiasm. But the frist story was it's peak and by the 3rd story it was speeding downhill fast. The ideas you told us about you were planning on only cemented my opionon.
But all the problems on the stories can be fixed with a rewrite.
The story right now is okay but not beyond saving. It can be made into somthing far better.
But right now, I suggest writing somthing else, let your mind create a new story for us to read.
And after a few years of writing, you come back to 'The 7th Element' series and rewrite it into somthing you like.
However, if you do that, make sure you keep the old versions around, some people like those enough. Or give an anoucment if you deleate it so others can download it to read themselves.
While I liked 7th element and will miss it, I will not complain, they are your story's and I shall look forward to any new content you post

Well, I need to know what kind of story your doing before offering ideas. But if you can, then ill be happy to bring in some ideas
okay. hang on a second. just let me get this out of my system. *takes deep breath* YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
good fer ya! I'll be rooting for you the whole time. It wouldn't hurt to edit things every now and then.
I look forward to seeing the new story.
In regards to the seventh element series.
Maybe in a few months or so you could come back to it and give it a fresh re-write from the ground up keeping the base characters but changing everything else.
You want my hard, honest advice?
Cancel it.
The 7th element is an overused cliche, so is the type of HiE that you are writing.
Stories like this get downvoted to oblivion these days.
You can leave it up, just don't finish it.
