H-hey guys.
Um... hi.
You know how sometimes you think of cool ideas and they sorta help you get out of a funk but then sometimes other cool ideas come and blindside you and you don't really know what it is but one day later you've written 9000 words of a story that isn't anything to do with the hype that you built up for a certain other jellyfish-specific story that you've been hinting at for a while now and bothering your incredibly patient and loving readers with?
Yeah... everyone's been there. >_>;
Well, what I mean to say is that I must apologize. I get distracted a lot. And I know. I don't OWE anyone anything, except for those three guys I owe 12,000 dollars to, and we are free to write what we wanna. What I'm trying to get at is that I'll be writing all my other stuff alongside this new thing that hit me last night. And I know I've been announcing a couple things, but rest assured I'll be pulling through with them.
Something hit me HARD last night. Something that I got a bit nuts about and I spent the whole day today, all of my spare time, writing out nearly 9000 words of the first chapter. It's pretty much done, and I do want to give this a run before I see if anyone wants to read more. So please excuse the dust, but I've been more fired up about writing again than I have in the last one and half months. I even did a nice title card for it and everything.
But what is this story about?
Well, I don't wanna spoil anything, but let's just say it's a re-imagining of a story that we are ALL very familiar with.
It'll be out tomorrow or the day after, if my editor will stop being a lazy douchepuppy.
Suggestion: finish project before hyping?

Actually, I've got the stuff for the other thing sorta sitting there about more than halfway done. It's not that I'm cancelling it. This WAS pretty unforeseen. But yeah, I do apologize. It will come eventually, though!
But I do have to work on what makes me actually feel like I want to write again. That wasn't as much. This did.
And as per your suggestion, I've actually finished it before hyping it this time. This one will definitely get published real soon.

Haha, no. It's a simple comedy about ponies who put things in their mouths with a bit too much zeal. I didn't have much reason for writing Jellyfish Extract outside of 'I wanted to'. But for 'Dust and Harmony' it's a whole big thing within a limited frame that I think I can pull off to some degree of success, heavy on my usual crap about dialogue and character development and other silly things. If you want, the desc for the story is as below, but it don't matter much. It'll be out soon anyway.
The signs have fallen. The notorious outlaw, Gunslinger Lune, is coming back, and she's looking to take out a few good ponies in a bid for revenge. There's nothing left to do but for Mayor Celeste to send one of her best deputies to the burg of Ponyton to make sure Lune doesn't succeed. But to do so, the deputy is gonna have to find a weapon - one whose secrets are buried deep within the citizens of Ponyton, its only purpose to destroy all whom stand in its way.
A weapon by the name of Harmony.
