On Cancelling My Little Insano · 8:53pm Apr 16th, 2014
Yeah yeah, I know.
As some of you have noticed, I quietly put My Little Insano under the "cancelled" tag a while ago. This was not a mistake, but doing so without an announcement was. I hope you'll forgive me for that much.
Fact of the matter is, I'm just kind of embarrassed by it, to the point I almost considered deleting it. I made mistakes in the writing of Madness is Magic, big mistakes. It was my first hit story ever, and I wanted it to be everything. I wanted it to be funny, I wanted it to be sad, I wanted it to be dramatic, I wanted it to be epic. I had not yet learned the concepts of story specialization, focus, tone, and quite frankly my own limits, and the story suffered for it in big ways. I've learned from that, and I've realized I can do better. I have done better, much better, and my new top stories have reflected that. Hell, my newer less successful stories have reflected that.
I can't exactly do heavy revisions like I've been planning to do with Dear Spike, either. Madness is Magic is novel length at this point; do you have any idea how much I'd have to change? How much time that would take? I don't, and I don't wanna find out! If I were to someday try this story concept again, it'd be from the ground up, from the start. But as I highly doubt that I'll do that, both you and I can consider it cancelled.
Sorry.

Well, that happened. Okay, that simplifies things. Now just to wait for the influx of unfollowings.
I can understand if you're a bit disappointed with how one of your own stories turned out, but it's important that you don't let it keep you from continuing to pursue your creative efforts. Just keep on doing what you're doing, and you'll be absolutely fine.
... That said, I am more than a little bit disappointed. My Little Insano was pretty much the only web media crossover I've seen here that was even remotely good, so it's a bit saddening to see that there probably won't be any good ones from now on. Still, I'm hopeful that you'll eventually find out what you want to do with your writing. Keep up the good work!
I can't say that I'm happy about this. This was the story that made me follow you, after all. I would still say that it's worth it to keep going, but if you feel it's for the best then I won't try to pressure you.
I understand while its sad to hear because it seemed to have been going well, I must say thank you for giving me the time to enjoy and read work. I hope to see more of your works that are as humorous as that.
Gentle breeze guide you home, a warm smile welcome your return.
(Its rather halious I never realized I didn't follow you till just this moment woopsie!" now I am, sorry just a misstep on my part.)
