    How long has it been?

I don't even recall the last time I dusted off this profile. It's been a while. I came on today after cleaning out my email to see if I was still getting notifications from this site. To see that they're still people who are reading my work is heartwarming.

I am sad... · 7:32pm Apr 15th, 2014

I am sad, my fellow readers.

Why are you sad, Joe?

Thanks for asking, other Joe.

You're welcome.

I'm sad because I finished possibly my new second favorite book (the first being Stephen Kings Misery), Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes. Not only am I sad because I've finished it, but it's also the second story I've ever read that had a (SPOILER) kind of sad ending to it. Let me give all of you a brief summary of it. I'll warn that if you haven't read it and want to go through it without having the simplest idea on what's about (like I did when reading it) I suggest skipping over this part.

:[-]:

Flowers for Algernon follows the story of a mentally retarded man by the name of Charlie Gordon who volunteers for an operation to raise his I.Q. After undergoing the operation it it appears that the operation didn't work. But after a few months of attending a school for retarded adults and reading in his spare time, Charlie manages to surpass the professors when it comes to intelligence. (Basically becoming the smartest man on Earth.) Unfortunately though after half a year, one doctor realizes that the Algernon's, the albino mouse the scientist learned how to make smart, intelligence is deteriorating at a rapid pace. Which in due time the same thing happens to Charlie, after that the rest of the story slowly follows Charlie as begins to forget simple things and furthers him to madness.

:[-]:

Alright if you skipped over the paragraph above then that's okay, of course up above if you did read the original story and have just read my summary. You will know that I left a lot of major points out, why? Because even if I am summarizing it, I want everyone else to read the full story for what it truly is. Anywho that probably doesn't make sense and that is why I'm sad...

But fuck sadness! Let's talk about some cool shit!

So I finally began writing again, *crowd cheers* though... *crowd falls silent* I have been unable to fix Google Docs. Matter of fact after many countless attempts I have finally been able to transfer all the latest chapters for all my stories into Microsoft Word. Thus allowing me to write, thing is though it will also make delivering my chapters to my helpful editors rather difficult.

And speaking of writing I specifically been planning out the rest of The Butler, which is going fantastically well. So well that I've actually developed multiple different endings that is making it hard to choose from... save for one which might be what I'm sticking with. So, really I don't have a problem picking... then why did I state that before–Ah WATEVAH!

Lazarus is also coming along slowly, along with What Am I.

Besides those things I even drew a new picture–

I have no idea why I drew it, usually when I draw I blank out and let my sub conscious take over while my hands work... there's a joke somewhere in there I know that. Other than that I have no idea, well I hope you guys enjoyed this random blog post/update thingy.

This has been Dark Nebula and like always, have a nice day.

Hah! Grammar Nazis... Hi, Joe!! I loved Flowers for Algernon. Great read. Now you need another book to read! Mayhaps a series!!

Ever think about the Dresden Files?

Also, Word.

I'll PM you my email so that you can send me the word doc chapters. There is no escaping the edits! Also, I wear the Grammar Nazi band, not the Nazi one. Jeez...

2012936 It isn't supposed to be a Grammar Nazi, just your normal gestapo.

2013085 I know, but meh

2013093 You know you love it, don't lie.

Oh yeah, Algernon is a great book for sure.
