Hey there everypony. How are ya? I've had quite a week myself. Aside from writing and playing a ton of Bravely Default, I've been having it rough in school. End of the marking period and all that jazz, you know how that is. Anyways, I'm making due progress on Pie of my Eye, and now that my Easter Break has officially begun, I'll be able to get the next chapter out sometime in the next week!
But that's not what I blogged to talk to you all about. I wanted to say how utterly shocked at how well "A Friend to All" has done in just four days. It warms my heart knowing I wrote a good EG fic, and that my first attempt at a one shot didn't crash and burn, and I thank you all for enjoying it.
So seeing all the positive feedback from this story got me to thinking. What do you guys want to see more from me as a writer? I'm loving writing Pie of my Eye and all, but do you guys think I should try to write a one shot here and there as well? I'd say maybe a new one shot every 2-3 chapters of Pie of my Eye. And If I do that, what kind of fic do you want me to write? Would you like to see some more friend shipping fics? Do you want me to maybe try my hand at writing more about Sunset Shimmer's reformation with other characters? Or would you like to see me write something entirely different? I have a few ideas and I'm willing to see how they'd transition to the written word. So please tell me what you think! I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Also, for any fans of Animal Crossing and it's music, I need to let you know about this amazing techno/electronic fan made album on iTunes. It's called Ben Briggs and Ectogemia Animal Crossing K.K. and Friends, and it has 9 awesome remixes of songs from the series. My personal favorites are Sunsets and Seashells and Quittin' Time because they both add a tons of atmosphere when I'm writing at nighttime. I listen to this album a ton when writing fics, along with the soundtrack to Scott Pilgrim vs the World; The Game, and I highly recommend both!
I would enjoy the 2-3 chapters thing, followed by a one shot. You could make a series of one shots having SS apologize to nearly every character she did wrong.
