Not Dead (what I'm working on so far) · 4:46pm Apr 5th, 2014
Hi hi happy people. I wanted to check in and let everypony know that I am still alive and I haven't abandoned any of my works. However, I am putting a few of them on hold to work on something new, and I'm trying a different approach.
Many of you fell in love with me when I created Inner Demons, which blew up more than I could ever imagine. You may have noticed how quickly I wrote that. Truth is, I had worked on that by myself for a long time, and when I started posting it on fanfiction.net, I had already finished at least half of the story, and was uploading the chapters as I wrote them. Eventually they caught up, but having so much done helped me retain interest in it.
I have been working on another story for this site for the past week now. I finished the basic concept and I got started on typing it today. So far I'm really liking what I've done with it, so I've decided to make it known that I'm working on something new. This story is different than anything I've written. If you know Xenogears or Xenosaga (or both) then the name should be familiar, but other than that it's not a crossover . It's going to have a lot of Theological references, and I want it to be controversial, even more than Inner Demons. Though I am going to continue Inner Demons II, this is sort of a spiritual successor to Inner Demons, so there will be some familiar themes and tropes.
I'm also going to try a few things new with this story, such as writing the characters differently, seeing them in new ways, and even trying a few new shippings in the story. I don't have a name yet, but I'm hoping to make it a trilogy. Be patient with me, and I promise to give you all something really amazing that the whole fandom will be talking about.
Do note that it's not related to Xenoverse episode 1. This is something completely new.
Congrats on doing a new story... But a word of warning.
Your story inner demons while praised as one of the best dark stories here, has been criticized for too dark (I don't agree). My story what choice do I have while similar I've tried to take an even darker turn, yet some have said it was too much and were done.
If your new story is more controversial, it may push others away. Either way, I'll be a fan there for it
1983510 Point taken, but that's any story. Some people will like it, while some will hare it. I feel that there are some stories that aren't written because authors are too afraid to write them, and for good reason. I mean, a story where Fluttershy is brutally raped and tortured for most of it shouldn't exist. However, I believe in pushing the bar a little, and I wonder, would that story be so hated if it were starring a character that wasn't Fluttershy, but had her exact personality? Would Inner Demons or What Choice do I Have be considered too dark if they didn't star cute multicolored ponies from a magical land?
That's why I write these stories. And honestly, I sort of get off when I see a reader so shocked by what they read.
1984998 wow... You just summed up probably one of my main reasons for starting mlp fiction.
I love the show, but always had ideas that wouldn't happen in the show normally, so I wanted to create a dark twist to their world. And my crossovers with other villains, I chose to keep them evil unlike the usual cliche become friends instant way.
Hope to see your new story soon
