I'm going to an anime con tomorrow · 10:30am Apr 4th, 2014
What do people do at anime cons?
I figure there will be a lot of awesome nerds there so it'll be fun in SOME way or another, but like, are there going to be whole slices of fun or culture that I'll miss out on because I don't know what to look for? Am I wasting my time because I don't actually watch anime beyond, like, Miyazaki movies and stuff?
I hear cons are notorious for nerd hookups. Should I behave accordingly? Does going in drag mean I am going to miss out on getting numbers from girls and possibly the love of my life? For that matter, will it be a social handicap in general for me to go in drag?
If only this were a convention on the mainland, because then I'd be one of ten asian guys in the whole place, and I'd have to fight off white girls with a stick, except that my ex-girlfriend was a white girl who was (I'm pretty sure) mostly into me because I'm asian and that whole thing was a terrible idea so maybe I shouldn't joke about that.
Anyway I understand there's a tabletop gaming room and a video game room so if all else fails I'll spend all day just generally fucking around. Maybe I'll throw together an impromptu tabletop game for day 2, or maybe I'll manage to sneak my way into one?
As for the drag, if it turns out to not be a good idea on day one than I might not do it on day two, and besides, walking around in high heels for two days might kill me.
I was about to give you advice, only then I realized the only cons I have ever been to are furry or pony related. :B I dunno, check the schedule and see if there's anything going on that sounds interesting? And don't worry about how you look? (Maybe worry more about guys being jackasses at you?)

Anthrocon was a blast! And out west, it's, uh... Further Confusion? Confurence? I literally don't fucking know, that's how long it's been since I stopped caring about the fandom. c.c
