Taking A Breather

No, not that kind of... oh, whatever

I have a little announcement to make. I'll be going on a hiatus of sorts for awhile. Don't worry, I won't be going anywhere, but I'll noticeably be quieter around here more than usual. Impossible! one might say. You're already quieter than a fart in a prison block! This may be true, but alas, current events going on in the world require my attention to be directed elsewhere. I've got so many things going on that I can't keep track of them all, so I just need to take my mind off of some of them for a bit.

Now, when I say I'll be "noticeably quiter," I only mean insofar as my voice around here. Comments, blogs, chats, the like. Time to be more productive. No doubt I'll still be start reading and writing again—I even plan to use this time to actually get some new material published here. In the coming weeks, expect to see at least one new story by me. A comedy? An adventure? A sadfic? A romance? Hell, I don't even know! Maybe I'll revive one of the stories already published I've let sit in abandon for far too long.

I'm beginning to realize this announcement isn't as little as I first thought it would, but oh well. If you happen to be someone I'm indebted to in some manner, such as editing a story or providing critical feedback, fear not! I should still be able to do these things, but expect me to be a bit more mechanical than usual at the cost of being more timely and tactful.

So this isn't exactly a hiatus, I guess. It's more like a distancing of sorts. No idea how long it'll last, but it shouldn't be too long. The ride never ends, after all.
