Hello once again, friends!
So, earlier today, I had a bit of a tiff with some random guy. See, he thought that Fleethoof should have ended up with Midnight Dasher. He was, of course, laughably incorrect, as we all know that Princess Cadance is the only mare that can soothe Fleethoof's wounded soul, and is, indeed, his one true waifu.
Well, things got a bit out of hand(hoof?), some blows were exchanged, and at some point we both ended up getting farted on by a unicorn. Stung a little bit, but other than that, I see no other ill effects...
Anyway, I just want you all to know that I had a blast in the Livestream this evening! It was hard work, let me tell you. The chatting, I mean, not the writing. You see, even when managing a stream and holding several conversations, I—being the handsome, devilishly charming, and unparalleled writer that I am—was able to bang out nearly a full chapter of the upcoming Skyfall book!
But! It gets even better!
For I, Dusk Quill, being of sound mind and body... well, sound body, anyway, am here to say that I have not only that first chapter done, but the entirety of the book! That's right! After ending the stream, I was struck by a bolt of such brilliant inspiration that I was able to type out nearly 80K of words in mere hours! Even I, with my unequaled talent, don't quite know how I did it... but I did!
So, I am very pleased to announce that the first chapter of Skyfall: Retribution has been sent to my editor, Jake The Army Guy! Expect it in a few days. Not only that! But I am also fully prepared to reveal to you the titles of the next few books in the series:
Skyfall: Revenge
Skyfall: Regeneration
Skyfall: Requiem
Skyfall 2: The Search for More Money
I know, I know, it's a lot to take in at one go, but trust me, however excited you are, it doesn't come close to how I feel! Expect to see full developments of the existing plot lines. Cadance and Fleethoof's future family! Midnight's illicit love affair with Bentgrass! Cupcake reconciled with his long-lost cousin from the Royal Guard, Lieutenant Beef Cake!
So many exciting things to expect from me, Dusk Quill, here in the near future. Keep a weather eye on the horizon, second star to the right, and straight on till dawn.

BUT! Since you didn't pair them together, Bentgrass can now claim Midnight's heart instead! And I gotta hand it to you, brother, your inspirational words about writer's block have inspired me to pick myself up and keep writing, no matter how tough it gets. I'm Jake, a US Army Drill Sergeant, dammit, and I can do it! I've already made plans for an epic 27-part series all about Benty and Middy working together to overcome the dastardly masterminds behind a mail fraud scheme. It will have action! Romance! Sarcastic one-liners! Everything you could ever want... except MiddyHoof, because that's completely unbelievable.
