Feature Box...strange

Anyone else notice how the last 2 stories have been changing consistently, while the first three are the same?

I'm just kind of confused, that's all. Looks odd, really.

This blog post explains why. Basically people complained that certain popular fics would dominate the feature box every time they updated, making it difficult for short stories and new authors to get noticed, so it was changed so that only new fics could be featured. This led to very slow turnover in the featured box, and very little chance for long works to get in there, since people rarely rate them based on the first few chapters. So, to address the complaint that the new system favored shorts too much, Knighty then changed it so the last two slots use the old system. And people are STILL complaining, because you just can't please them, but hey, at least this way it's objectively fair to both arts.
