The 1 thing I feel the meanest for writing. · 12:22am Mar 29th, 2014
So I was re-reading my older chapters of Equestria's Crazies and then I stumbled onto this again. Original I thought the meanest thing I had ever written was what I did for Sombra's back story, but this is much worse to me.
"Who's Fluffy?" Celestia asked awkwardly part of her already aware of where this conversation was going to end.
"He is Nibbles pet." Sombra answered as he lowered the bag onto the ground.
"Pet!" Nibbles shouted in excitement
"Nibbles find spider but no food for spider, so we make spider bigger so we can feed it normal food. But he run away last night and we find him here before."
"Get food!" Nibbles shouted as he jumped down and slowly started pushing the bag of cat food towards the now missing room.
The five gods shared a couple of awkward glances as they tried to figure out who would be the one to tell Nibbles that they had just vaporized his pet.
"Well you see Nibbles" Celestia began as she lowered herself towards the small hybrid "Fluffy had to go home."
Celestia winced as Nibbles finally showed an emotion other than hunger and excitement, unfortunately for her that emotion was sadness.
"Home?" Nibbles repeated
"Yes, he had to go back to his family."
"No pet?" He asked sadly as he fell onto his flank.
"Get food!" Nibbles shouted as he jumped down and slowly started pushing the bag of cat food towards the now missing room.
Can't you see this little guy happily struggling to a slightly oversized bag of cat food just so he can feed his new little friend?
I'm a monster
I cooked this little guys first pet, even if it was a spider I still feel bad about it.
Also I might be changing his pet, because I kind of forgot what the Shrub of Harmonies story ark was. (No we aren't going Monty Python it would be too easy. Plus I'd feel bad for taking a comedic master piece and mixing it with my barbaric filth.)
Seriously though, I almost teared up a little when I read it the first time because I felt his sad so hard from that part, there was such emote in his reaction...

Well, there are all of those Star Spiders over at the old castle. They're very affectionate, and quite numerous.

I read it as
Can't you see this little guy Happily Snuggling into a Slightly oversized bag of cat food...
And I had a mini heart attack... His Spider died and then his only pet was the bag of Catfood... Hnnnggg... Poor Nibbles... (My mind on lack of sleep....)
