Still kicking around. Also writing again. Also, shameless bump.

I've started a new job that gives me lots of free time at nights. I've been using it to write. I'm hoping this means I'll be around a little more, and maybe even put out some new content.

I'm still kicking, and potentially(?) taking story commissions!

So I've been looking to get back into writing things for a while now. Going to Bronycon and meeting all of the artists I grew up around really kind of put a spur to my sides, and honestly, I'm wanting to write again; I mean write, not just roleplay excessively with internet buddies. Coincidentally, I've also been put into a rather interesting situation in which I find myself in a place of

    Thank you everyone!

So, Size Finally Matters finally dropped out of the featured box, after almost three days in the spotlight, and while it never hit the number one slot, I am still absolutely ecstatic to have gotten so much recognition for it, especially considering that the story contained my own original characters. First off, I would like to greatly thank

New Chapter of Bloodwood is out + New story later today

Sorry about the delay on that smutfic. I had to wait for the cover art to be finished, but man was it worth it.

I'll be trying to post it in about an hour or two, so keep your eyes open for it. Or don't. Whatever you wanna do!

    Story spam?

So, I've had this conversation with a couple of different authors now, and I'm really not quite sure how I feel about it, even now.

Undead Equestria: Fan art! · 12:17am Mar 25th, 2014

I never thought I'd see the day when I actually got a bit of fan-art from one of my stories, and I bet you all can somewhat imagine the look on my face when I did. Nonetheless, I would love to thank Sinrar for this amazing bit of art. He brought this scene, and my characters to life, and my god is it awesome. It's also going to become the new cover art.

1953087 This picture actually fed me a lot of new inspiration. I'm writing more of chapter 19 as we speak. it'll probably be a little while though. Not to mention I need to find some time to go back and fix the earlier chapters back when I still wrote like complete trash.

Damn, I gotta start reading that story. I love zombie stuff. Haven't really been able to write a good one of my own yet. :applejackunsure:

But this is some really great art, man! I've gotten some cover art for stories before, but never fan art. You lucky dawg. Or pony. Whatever. :raritywink:

Thank god. This fic deserves more fanart. It's glorious.

It's good to hear that we'll probably be seeing more of Undead Equestria in the future. I'll be looking forward to it.

Edit: Brick doesn't just look like ponified Arnold Schwarzenegger, Brick is ponified Arnold Schwarzenegger.

1953899 Awh man, I should have given him one-liners!

No, I never once stated that Brick wears a shirt and tie, but I actually really like what the author did with it. He looks cool that way. Super cool.

With Sunny's saddle, I couldn't have been more flabbergasted at how well it's done. It looks SO COOL.

But what got me the most was the accuracy of the scene. That is like, a perfect representation of that scene in story itself. It's really impressive.

1953905
Yeah. Considering the age that you set that battle saddle to be, it really does look of the proper era, as it were. It looks a little cobbled together, but at the same time extremely solid; altogether remarkably cool.

Now we just need the laboratory shoot-out and the roof evacuation scene drawn and all will be well in the world.

Oh my.
I dunno what to say now. Very happy to know you liked it, and honored to have been made the cover art. :pinkiegasp:
Keep rocking.

Kindly,
~Sinrar

1954291 You, my friend, made cover art of my favorite story! I didn't even ask. Because you wanted to, you did, and that is more flattering that just about anything else could be.

Some people say that plagiarism is the strongest form flattery.

I say it's fanart.

1954303 Aww. :twilightblush:
Reminds me of a comversation in had not even a week ago with the guy who gifted me premium membership all of a sudden on DA, said it was to thank me for doing fanart of his story long ago.
I really enjoy doing fanart, because, like you said, I wanted to, but also because it manages to make people happy somehow, and that's what I thrive for. Make people happy.
So yeah. What can I say. It's my way to thank people for what they do.

Kindly,
~Sinrar

Insert my usual statement concerning Sorren.
In a strange way, I'm going to miss the old cover-art. I do like this one though so no complaints about the fan art will come from me. I really like it.
Maybe I'll say something profound in an edit later but probably not.

1954334
Dude, the pic is amazing. Great work.

I actually really love your art style. It's very... convincing, for lack of a better word. To be frank, it's just really darned cool.

1954353 Why, thank you. :pinkiehappy:

1954344 I understand why you would feel like that. I did the new cover art for a story a while ago, and it felt weird to see it instead of the other after.
Though one part of me is positively bursting with excitement with finding out something I did is the new cover art to a fic I love, I'm also going to miss the memories brought by that old cover art that was actually what caught my eye and brought me to read the fic at first.

Kindly,
~Sinrar

1954373 Speaking of which, I could probably still include Carnelian's old cover somewhere in the description. It was so nice of him to do what he did for me.

And yeah, I can back up what Mono said. You have a realistic style that doesn't try to hard to be perfect. Obviously the hospital in the background is way off-pitch, but that's what makes the picture so appealing. It's got that cartoony feel while still holding on to that feel of gritty realism.

Also, lolWillow. She looks unamused.

1954378 Please include it somewhere. I don't want to lose a memory like that so quickly.

1954378 Yeah, you really should leave a reminder to it at least.

Also, thanks. Yeah. Well, in a way it would be weird to suppress the cartoony feel of MLP, so I've always tried to keep it, but I work to make it both, as you said. Not too realistic or too cartoon, perfect to draw more detailed ponies without giving them the look of weirdly drawn real (but colorful) horses.
This is also inspired by the fact that my favorite game design is Borderlands', a perfect example of cartoon/realistic design that makes for pretty awesome character and background designs while not being overly realistic. We can all agree Borderlands would lose a part of its charms without its design, and to me it's the same about MLP. I may try to make them look less drawn and more like someone took a photo of the instant I'm trying to capture, but I cannot let go of that cartoon feel that comes from the show.
Gosh do I ramble about art.

Kindly,
~Sinrar

1954425 Long story short. You did it, and I love it.
