There was proof that Yui and Hinata got together, and then if you stayed till after the credits on the last episode, well, you got a little something. I'm sure they all ended up friends again.

That's what was meant for a possible second season.
1951331 Did you stay till after the credits on the 13th episode? It shows Otonashi and Kanade in the real world. Otonashi passes by Kanade on the street and hears her humming a song (My Song by Iwasawa). He recognizes it and chases after her. The scene cuts just before he taps her shoulder.
