Lonesome Dove (The book) · 6:30pm Mar 22nd, 2014
I finally finished the 1,000 paged Pulitzer Prize winning Lonesome Dove, written by McMurty '85. I never saw the movie or show, so it was my first time reading the series, and I have to say I loved it all the way through. It wasn't (surprisingly) the brutal slog through a massive book like I thought it would be. Albeit, it's very depressing. And the ending is.... it's pretty brutal. Yea, those last 100-200 pages... they really hurt. Like, bizarrely bad. Everything goes the opposite of what you want.
So anyways, I guess I'm just doing this little entry because of how boring this place has been, with the group notifications down, or whatever, and God knows how long it'll be till they turn them back on. Though as usual I don't enjoy spamming blogs for no reason unless it's something I think is important, so I'll give this one the idea that I might do a story based around Lonesome Dove; I'm not sure, it's a big book. Until then, I guess just sit around and wait until they fix the site, or do whatever it is they plan on doing.
Jesus... that ending man...
I'm pretty depressed now...
I had to read Ender's Game recently

Meh, it was okay. It felt a little odd, and a little kiddish compared to the more serious military stuff I read. This book was just wonderful to read, at least for me.
You might like it, if you're into Western style works.

I had to read it for school or else I never would have

I prefer letting people read what they want, else they won't get into it or pick what they need up.

I'm normally that way too. And it happens to usually be ponies
