Wings of Tomorrow: Chapter 1 rewrite and future updates

Hey everypony,

Just giving some quick updates on "Wings of Tomorrow ~ Lament of the World". First of all I'd like to say thank you to everyone who favourited and commented on the story, it's great to have so much support and so many interested readers. You're what keeps me pushing out new chapters (well, that and the desire to get to the good bits =p ). So thank you!

Now for more serious matters. I've decided to rewrite the first chapter. I've had a 'professional' fanfic reviewer take a look at my story, and he had a couple of bones to pick with the first chapter. Looking back, I have to admit that he was right when saying the first chapter could be better. I've been writing fanfiction (outside of MLP) for years, and truth to be told, chapter 1 of WoT~LotW isn't one of my best works. You guys deserve better! So I'm currently in the process of writing the revised chapter one, currently titled "Adrift in time". It should shed a bit more light on Fluttershy's mysterious appearance from one timeline into the other.

As for the next, new chapter, let me assure you that it's being worked on. In fact, chapter 10 is almost done, but the rewrite of chapter 1 has held me back on publishing it. I'm aiming to publish the new chapter 1 and chapter 10 at the same time. So you readers will get two new chapters on the same day! I'm hoping to get it done this weekend, hopefully even sooner (read: friday).

And now a word on the future of the story. I'm aware many readers feel sorry for Fluttershy and are displeased with how the world is now and want Celestia to be freed. Rest assured: we will get to that. Sadly, I can't really rush it. I'm as excited as you all are to get to the juicier bits of the story and all the awesome ideas I've planned, but before we can get to that we'll first have to move through this Ponyville story-arc. So bear with me. I'm hoping to get started on the juicier stuff and introduce Rainbow Dash around chapter 15. That's the aim, at least. Could be sooner, could be a bit later, but probably not that much. Just know that I think it'll be worth the wait. Trust me, all you Rainbow Dash fans are in for a treat! =)
