The Night is Passing Even Still · 11:27pm Mar 10th, 2014
Good evening, world. It's 7:14 in Chatanooga, and I'm in what you could call a cabin but that's more like a rustic manorhouse. It's Spring Break, and I'm here to write you a blurb about a milestone.
I'm almost done with the 12th chapter of the Night is Passing. Now, I know not all of you are following this story and though I'm about to encourage you to do so, that's really okay with me. Dark tag ain't everybody's cup of tea, nor how I write it.
That being said....
ACT ONE is almost over and I have feelings about this. The primary feeling is excitement. I planned for three acts, uneven in bulk but even in their structure. The first act is the shortest (not uncommon) but not by much. The SECOND ACT is almost here, and it's about time that I revamped the story post to reflect these "acts". While they've always been in my planning doc, they haven't been mentioned in the story.
ACT ONE is entitled Some God Will Give Us An End to This. I hope that those of you who have been following it will enjoy the conclusion to this arc and have been enjoying it altogether so far. There will be no hiatus, as I'm plowing through these chapters right now. They'll probably be longer chapters, and at this rate they may be even kind of regular. The actions is set up, the players are all ante'd and the pieces are waiting for me to tap the podium and start the music so that they can begin the game. The two parties hurtle towards their objectives and the home front is about to become interesting outside of some nice LunaSpike interaction.
And... I guess I finally realize that I might be able to do this. It might just be possible to finish my long form fiction and that just makes me glow, you know? That and playing AI War: Fleet Command for like nine hours straight (Which you should FRICKIN PLAY, a post later on that) just have me feeling good.
ACT TWO will be entitled Pilgrim's Progress (As of right now. The original title was Darkness Visible)
ACT THREE will be entitled Towards Some Greater Dawn (Title tentative.)

I admire the part where Twilght has turned on Luna in frustration, and is yelling at her. It's simply amazing.

Ooh, the cover art changed! Pretty.
Like 1915223, I like the parts with Fluttershy. How she notices all these tiny things because she's quiet enough to listen is a really neat direction to take her characterization, and I like it.
Also, curiously, since I do not usually get too excited about either one of them, I really like the interactions between Spike and Luna. The strategy and intrigue on that front hits just the right note.
Drat, I still need to catch up on it! Curse you, Zenith!
