Rehash of Lunar Sage from the ground up. · 6:18am Mar 10th, 2014
If you go to my first story, you're wondering why everything else from the first chapter is gone. Well, I went over to Editors-R-Us to get help for Lunar Sage. When I came back, it turns out that there were so many plotholes and most of the characters were OOC. One thing's for sure, I did a great job with the first chapter.
If you ask me, If Applebloom can't get a cutie mark in carpentry, at least she has potential in alchemy. The idea of Applebloom taking after Zecora as an alchemist or apothecary has been done, and it's even hinted at in Twilight Time. I got there before the episode aired... and yeah. If memory serves, children born of a union between a human and kitsune are not half-humans, but in fact, humans with magical powers.
According to Japanese folkore, a magician-astrologer named Abe no Seimei had a kitsune for a mother. Feel free to look up kitsune and such, but to clarify anyone who's reading this, one of the themes of the fic is kitsune. I won't spoil anything here. Next, I actually like historical fiction and anime, especially from Japanese culture. Sure that most of my knowledge is from the Internet, but still! I would love to go to Japan just for the sake of learning the culture and folklore... and the food.
By the way, an apothecary creates and sells potions and poisons. An example of an apothecary is the apothecary from Act 5 of Romeo and Juliet. Alchemy is the transmuting of several materials, basically mixing different ingredients into liquid form, oftentimes an elixir. The pharmacist is the modern equivalent of the apothecary and most of the things in chemistry came from alchemy.
Now that I think about it, I should include more Zecora and Applebloom moments.
