Tralalala~ Hmm? Wait...5000 views on Friendship is Aura? Sweet!
Actually, maybe it's not that big of an achievement compared to other stories, but it's great to see that people enjoy it so much.
Really, I'm having lots of fun writing the story. However, I've noticed that I'm almost falling into some sort of trap. You see, I'm really itching to get to write certain chapters and scenes further into the story. The problem with that though is that I almost rush through the "less hyped" chapters in-between. But those chapters are just as important as the rest. If I'm building up to some sort of confrontation or event in one chapter, I need to either give hints of it or have some scenes between the characters in previous chapters to give necessary exposition.
That's not to say that I'm simply making this story up as I go. I have the entire thing planned from start to finish, like key-scenes in it, interactions between the characters and upcoming villains and fights. I just need to write it down the right way so that I don't miss or forget any details. It would be disastrous if I reached a certain point in the story only to suddenly scream "OH HORSEAPPLES! I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT PART! I'M BUCKED!"
Anyway, enough of that. This story will be written down, I assure you.
Rolling on to the next topic, would you guys like to ask any questions about me or the story? Like how I even thought it up or why I thought it up? That is...um...if you're interested at all...I understand if you're not...
Understandably, I won't answer any questions about spoilers or anything that isn't related to the story.
See you all later in the next chapter! Thank you all for your support!
Did you start writing when you first got the idea? Or did you get the idea and wait a bit before you started writing. Also, is Lucario your favorite Pokemon?
120318 I actually had the story planned in my mind for a long time, maybe around 4 months or so. The reason I didn't start writing it immediately was because:
1) I've never written a story before, so the whole idea was unfamiliar to me. I've read several fanfictions, sure, but writing one myself? That made me feel somewhat uncertain.
2) I was unsure how other readers would think of it. Even in my own head, the idea of a story featuring Lucario in Equestria just sounded silly. Like something an ordinary fanboy would daydream up out of boredom. But the more I started thinking of certain scenes in the story, the more I tried to convince myself that this was going to be anything but silly. I mean, Ex-Nihilos' story "Rorschach in Equestria" sounded even sillier to me, yet it is one of my favorite MLP-stories ever.
Lucario is one of my favorite Pokémon, yes. His story in "Lucario and the Mystery of Mew" was great, he's a great party member in the actual games, and his aura abilities are cool and unique compared to other Pokémon. There are more reasons for why I like him and why I chose him for this story, but I'll save that explanation for another post if you guys want to hear it.
Do you plan to include other Pokemon?
120595 We're going to have a "Flashback arc" later on where Lucario's backstory will be explained. Of course there will be other Pokémon featured during that, as it takes place in the Pokémon world.
Oh
120626 Don't worry, he's just afraid of spoiling something about other Pokémon coming to Equestria.
CELESTIA! COME ON!
Ohhh plz include the 5th Gen. Pokemon!
So is this like the only story in your head right now or are you thinking of other stories?
120669 I've had some other stories thought up before I got started on Friendship is Aura. One of them featured a bunch of original ponies I made up myself. I actually have a folder full their appearances (lazily made in GeneralZoi's Pony Creator), character descriptions and backstories. The only problem with that story is that it is very similar to FiA, featuring many of the same character developments and plot twists. If I'm going to write another MLP fanfic, I don't want to repeat the same story with different characters.
Maybe I'll talk about that older story some other time, as many of its ideas and elements are carried over to FiA.
You guys haven't found the secret message yet?
