Some bad news folks. · 5:43pm Mar 2nd, 2014
I've got some bad news here folks. I am officially canceling Interesting Times. It pains me to have to do this, but I am afraid that at this point this is really the only viable option for me.
There are several reasons why I decided to cancel this story, the first one being that the plot is so badly in need of fixing, even with the previous rewrite, that I'd have to pretty much completely scrap the story and start over again, and that is just not possible right now.
Secondly, this story requires a lot of historical research on my part in order to make it work, and unfortunately, I do not have the time for that anymore.
Thirdly, I haven't put any new content out for this story in well over a year and I haven't touched it since last summer, so I've lost all momentum in terms of writing. In addition, my original editor/prereader Shoggoth, is unable to help me continue this story, and even though some of you have offered your help to me, (to which I am grateful) I just do not have the motivation to continue this, for lack of a better term, train wreck, of a story of mine anymore.
In terms of a possible restart to this series, I highly doubt it, at least in this form. I do have a few idea's about a potential story set in either this universe or a similar one and I might actually get around to writing it down the road. In addition, you will probably see several of these characters being reused in my other story(s) as well.
I would like to thank all of you for taking the time to read, favorite and upvote, this story and for being patient with me through all of the ups and downs this story has gone through over the past couple years. I've learned a fair bit about writing stories and I plan on applying what I learned writing Interesting Times in my other story(s).
If anyone wants to take a crack at continuing/fixing this series on their own time, just shoot me a pm and we can discuss the possibility.

Well that's disappointing, I was really looking forward to seeing where you would go with your story.
I really hope you can find someone who'll take over. This story had lots of potential, and I personally am a huge fan of historical fiction, especially the first half of the 20th century. Too bad I suck at creative writing, else I would have put out an offer to undertake this.
