Nimen hao, everypony! As usual, it's been decades since I updated, but at this point my life is so wild, crazy, and beautiful I feel like I'm less inclined to be apologetic than in the past. I do still have Fancypants and his adventures in mind, hoping to wrap in a chapter or two, but right now IRL is where I am...
I'm having a son.
This is the first time I've written this down anywhere, and I'm almost moved to tears seeing it there, on this page. I'm going to be a father, and the whirlwind of emotions is nothing short of pure ecstasy. I love that little bump on my wife's tummy that kicks me in the middle of the night. I want to be the father my father wasn't, and I'm often scared I won't live up to my own expectations as a parent.
In the meantime, I'm going to school full time, and must rush off to my Mandarin class now. I hope you're all well and get the chance to feel like I feel.
