I was messing around looking up names and decided to look up MLP names, and got a big suprise with some of them. I'll start with the obvious ones.
Celestia means "heavenly."
Luna means "moon."
Twilight is the time that connects day and night, Twilight reunited Luna and Celestia. (I love that one!)
A little less obvious names.
Sombra means "shadow." (Generally a girls name. *coughs*)
Trixy means "blessed traveller."
Gilda means "sacrifice." (That one makes me really sad.)
Do any of you know of other ones? If so, message me and I will edit this post.
This proves the creativity and detication the writers have that work on the show.

Discord is what I think is short for Discordia which means Goddess of war.
Spike means Long, Heavy Nail
Cadence means Rhythm
