Two Years of Posting · 8:10am Feb 25th, 2014
I has been two years since I first posted The Wandering Physicist Adventures on this site. I had been working on it for five months at that point and just started getting it edited and cleaned up. Since that day that the story was approved for posting on this site, it has gained: 62.6k total views, 102 favorites, 96:10 like to dislike ratio, two sequels, a lot of great fan art from the greatest readers and all of the greatest readers in the world.
If you're a TWP reader and looking for something more:
Rebirth of Harmony follows Rei's siblings as they become the Elements of Harmony and get tied up in the politics of their world. The story is nearing the end with just six chapters remaining. Hope everything turns out well!
Starlight Chronicles is about Twilight and James' son Starlight, who TWP readers might remember from a couple cameos, AJ's son Satsuma, Del and all their friends as they continue the slice of life craziness that their father began. They are so close from a big ramp up in the everything. TWP and RoH readers will love what I have planned next for them.
As a prize for two years on this site, here is a short post-TWP/pre-SCS scene for you to enjoy:
James lays on his bed, working on his laptop. A dark form creeps behind him and pounces. Twilight pins her husband to the bed, nuzzling his cheeks and nibbling his ears.
'Two hundred years,' the mare coos.
'What?'
'We have been married for two hundred years,' Twilight replies. 'I can't believe you forgot.'
James pulls up a monitor. It displays several galaxies arranged to spell out 'I love you, Twilight'. 'Hmm. Must have slipped my mind,' the stallion sighs.
'Oh, James, you're so sweet.'
'Not as sweet as you.'
The couple kisses. Twilight's smile turns from bliss to craftiness as she uses her magic to flip her husband to his back.
'Now, what about my real gift?'
'Real gift?' the trapped stallion asks.
His wife sits on his hindquarters and rocks back and forth a bit. 'Uh huh. I expected something bigger than a few measly galaxies.' She wiggles her rump a little more. 'Oh! There is it now.' She leans down to kiss her husband. 'I love you.'
James leans up. 'I love you more, Twilight.'
The couple locks lips, choosing to spend another anniversary in bed together.
James totally precrafted the galaxies in case he ever needed them, or sent himself a message back to remind past him to prepare it

Or something more akin to what Fry did in Futurama with the "bad ass gravity pump". (He would have put them back once he was done.)

You forget that he is lazy. I mean, it is not like he would ever use time travel to impress his lovely wife or better raise his sons or leave messages for his daughters or be there for the birth of all his children or invent the Konami code.
Congratulations on two years of writing!
I can't believe RoH is almost over... Oh well, all good things come and go, and I must say that RoH is one of the best.
