Retrospective Pin-Point Into Latter Day Events (gosh I'm tired) · 6:37am Feb 23rd, 2014
I feel like I leave so much neglect on this blog considering it's the first thing people see when they come to my page, and all they're met with is a post I made months ago concerning an esteemed Communist poet from England who's become a subject of a mass following of YTP's. I need to put something down here, but I feel like a bit of a prune when I'm posting something that's all about nonsensical garbage that doesn't ever pertain to why people are even interested in my page in the first place. Never the less, I'd like to use this opportunity to express some personal things concerning writing so far and what may happen in the future.
For one, the group I set up months ago, A Helping Hoof has kind of taken a back seat for now, but I'm hoping to get back into the groove of recruiting and actually contributing to it as much as I once did. I had such grand ideas of it becoming one of those site groups with hundreds of like-minded individuals all working towards getting there stuff promoted, but in the end, no matter how big we got, we're never able to really form a sense of community with the random people we've assembled. Maybe my expectations where just a bit too high, but I guess you'll never know how things turn out in the end.
Concerning story related stuff, here's a few points:
1. I'm hoping to get another side project going that isn't Alistair or anything in the related universe of it. I'm not going to spoil anything, but I will reveal that once the other story gets started, I'm going to have to put Alistair on hold on account of me being terrible at multi-tasking stories (Equestria vs. Japan and Three Card Collision are good examples of this. They both took much longer than I intended to complete).
2. I have several ideas of where to take Alistair next. Possibly on an entirely new adventure in a completely new setting, or maybe just back in Ponyville dealing with the already established plot I set up in Three Card Collision. I don't know what'll it'll be, but I'm hoping to make it a doosy!
3. The other possibility is doing a villain's perspective story. Writing Shale in Three Card Collision was a blast and I'd really like to adapt on this concept of giving a villain their own chance in the spotlight.
