Journal Entry - 2: Chicks Dig Guys with Fimfiction Accounts · 7:12pm Feb 17th, 2014
I was chatting with the girlfriend about stuff when I dropped a mention about my profile on here. Her response was to interrupt her own sentence to express her excitement at that fact. To quote:
Her > I'm also hoping to write some tonight.

Her > I was thinking of doing a scene with... YOU HAVE ONE TOO!!!
While I appreciate the adorable incarnate, something I've always felt came to mind: people with Fimfiction accounts are a big deal. The Bronies have pioneered a cultural frontier, silently touching everything in their lives with the magic of friendship, giving it new life. The creative content producers in the fandom have taken artistic innovation to a whole new level, and I've always regarded the writers as the creme de la fandom, bringing our love and appreciation for our favorite characters above and beyond the show, or, sometimes, teaching us how to appreciate them in the first place.
And breaking into this community has always seemed a bit daunting to me. What talent do I have to offer the fandom, or at the very least, can be appreciated for some originality? I guess I'm here to find out.
But being surrounded by all of these guys with Fimfiction accounts is still intimidating.
I can't help but feel like I'm just stalking everyone, here.

Look man, graves surfacing is a real problem. You need tough dirt to prevent that, and you need to dig deep.
Crème is just a terrible choice for a grave. What kind of monster are you?
