Unlike most of the bronies in the community, I enjoyed EQG! I thought Sunset was a cool design and character concept. The plot was decent; The animation beautiful. The character interactions were just as good as on the show. And OMG SPIKE! Let's not forget about how great he was!
I also enjoyed the designs of the girls once they transformed. They reminded me of a magic girl anime for some reason. Overall I thought it was great. It inspired me to write a different take on the concept of EQG with my story Twilight's Journey in Battle City. Link to Story
When I check EQD this morning I never thought I'd see a teaser clip for the sequel.
I loved every minute of this teaser. I loved the Diamond Dogs pushing Rarity on the Piano, the fact that FS was the one with the tambourine, the hamster parade, the SONIC GUITAR BOOM, and the designs of the girls in their band outfits. I also thought the song was catchy, but I think the staff is hiding more the lyrics for the movie. ALSO IT LOOKS LIKE VINYL SCRATCH MAY HAVE A BIG ROLE! I support this with the fact she was prominent in the teaser and SHE WAS ON THE COVER OF THE BOOK. This makes me exited. I am most anticipating Sunset's return since she is getting a new doll. Maybe Trixie will be the villain since she is getting a doll and her instrument is already taken by one of the mane six being RD. It could also be the new character announced a while ago (Name eludes me at the moment). And I think the TWI here is the one from the EQG world since it have to be after about 2 years when the portal would open again and she doesn't have wings in a few of the shots. Maybe she has to earn them somehow. Who knows? So I'm hyped!
And for the EQG haters there is a bit of foreshadowing in the teaser for season 4. Think about it! Maybe the Rainbow Look alludes to the RAINBOW POWER being in the BOX. Just a thought. Anyway I'd like to hear your thoughts. Pony Kid out!
I figured it out after Rarity Takes Manehatten. and as for EG2 I'm hoping that they humanize Octavia.

Me too! Human Octavia would be so amazing! And I can't wait for the promised 12 songs! And then Vinyl will at least sing 1 of them!
