Anyone else buried under four billion tons of white shit and/or stuck in their homes?
Wheeeeeeeee.
At least I can catch up on coursework. I shoveled a bit but then my body was like 'lol, fuck you' and I had to stop.
Be safe, y'all.
God I love California
It appears to have stopped here. Though, of course, that means I have to go shovel it. Joy.
SNOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW DAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
I'm going to make some bolognese and then write some. Feel free to throw an e-snowball
1829831 i don't actually mind it TOO much
i mean, now I can just snowboard at the side of my house instead of driving two hours to a mountain
1829836 stopped here too. Supposed to start again and head into Friday, so I got up the snow I could before that happened.
1829838 have fun~
fuck this snow tho
I'm stationed in the desert... it's actually pretty nice here.
Is it really that bad? If it's like, knee-deep, then it's not that bad. I think. Although in Finland houses are made just with the snow in mind so I don't think I'm the best one to talk about it.
Until like, two days ago, yes.
Sadly, yes. It started snowing late Wednesday and it's still snowing now. It ruined my work schedule for today and probably tomorrow. I don't mind staying in, but I'll be super pissed off if I lose two days of work and don't get assigned more days next week.
Eeeyup, I'm stuck here. Of course, some people might have other plans.
Hey, Dancer, do you know how snow is like sex?
Snooooow~~
It's interesting that snow has it's levels of acceptance. From the first week or so, you begin to relish in the prospect of snow on the ground. However, as the slow crawl of winter progresses, you slowly go insane and hope that the blood you spill in the name of warmth will be enough to rid the world of the winter plague.
...or, is it just me?
Snow is something we drive to in California and drive home away from at the end of a day. It was mid-60's and sunny/cloudy today in the south Bay Area...
I lived in Colorado and Kansas City for a few years, so I do know what it can be like. It's all fun and snowballs until you hit the results of an ice storm or a foot of snow on the way to work. Hope you're doing okay on the snow-covered side of the US.
I will be soon, and freezing rain, about 50cm in total. The result, I predict, is half a meter of solid ice covering everything.
The last time it snowed in these parts was about 22000 years ago, give or take a couple of millenia. Maybe. I think it was a Tuesday?
Anyway, today's forecast is for 33º. That's Celsius, not Fahrenheit.
