I am deep in the throes of sudden soapy inspiration.
Life has been crazy, and so very busy, that I have scarce had time to work on it. Now I can after this starburst of thought that will lead to at least two new product lines.
I know it is not fanfic related, but it excites me, and this is my blog.
I cannot even adequately describe how it feels to be hit like that--so much harder than the inspiration I get for my fics.
I wish you all well, and hope you are all safe and cozy in the bad weather if you are nearby.
Time to go be amazing.
you do that. go be amazing. just let us know how it went.
1819726 it will probably take a month or more to come to fruition, but I'm likely to post excited pictures of the end results anyway because lol why not

Make 6 soap designs inspired by each of the Mane Six?
Even if not, it's always great to feel really excited about any given hobby.
1819737 Did that already XD I do need to make more Fluttershy, Applejack, and Twilight, though. And RD, I suppose. They all sell out pretty fast.

(Somehow)
1820119 Well, I mean
uncooked soap batter is called 'raw', so
1820159 ... Wat. I...
So what you're telling me is that I need to listen to my Magical Sense more?
Sounds like you're one slick character.
Like the choice of product names there...
(Oatmeal, are you crazy?!)
Just out of curiosity, as someone who knows absolutely nothing
about soapabout making soap, what does "Hot Process" mean?1821396 Hot process means that I cook the soap, in a crockpot/other cooking device. Cold process is the mostly preferred method for soapmakers because when you pour the soap into the mold, it's uncooked and just a goopy 'batter' that's easier to make designs. The drawback is that it's a bitch to have molded: temp needs regulation, wrap it in blankets, put a box on top of that, etc etc to make sure it 'cooks' in the mold. Then once you can unmold it, you need to cure it about six weeks.
hot process says 'fuck all that shit, cook it in the pot and then gloop it into the mold and bam, instant soap as soon as it cools enough to handle'.
so i greatly prefer hot process

Huh.
That is interesting. I will keep that in mind if I ever find myself with a pressing need to rapidly make a large batch of soap in the future. The more you know...
Oatmeal, pumpkin, honey, milk, carrot, apple cider, olive oil, clove, coconut, tangerine, ...
I do believe I have already used most of those ingredients cooking last week.
Yay, nice to see you active again Dancer!
