New Eyecatch Added · 4:39am May 13th, 2012
I'll be looking to commission some art for "Princess Trinity" in the near future, but in the meantime I've been playing around with screenshots. I just added a new eyecatch to the prologue, as well as a literary quotation (because every fan fiction has to have one). I think these will serve well to distract readers before they get to the actual content, putting them off their guards and convincing them to keep reading in spite of what might have been their better judgment.
Also, the prologue and chapter 1 have been through some more edits; I've only tweaked them a little, improving a few sentences and eliminating some unnecessary phrases. My abilities as author, the man largely blind to his own mistakes, are probably exhausted. Chapter 3 will likely go up next weekend (it's requiring a bit more legwork than the previous chapters, which were mostly fun and games), and then I might send the whole thing to boot camp before I put up chapter 4.
Here's the eyecatch. I'd like to produce a slicker version in the future, but this will do in the meantime:
I notice "Cadance" and Celestia still look displeased about something. Luna, meanwhile, maintains her queenly levity!

This site labels her as "Cadence," so I'm sticking with that spelling until I know better!
The running joke I have is that "Cadance" is the imposter. In my weird MLP logic, whenever a changeling assumes the form of a pony the name changes slightly. It can't just be a coincidence that Hasbro altered Cadence’s name just before the wedding episode with the changeling plot. This reminds me, I need to go get my tin foil hat...
I do like the new cover art you made, even if Celestia and Cadance still don't appear in their best light. I think I can tell from just the art that your favorite princess is Luna, and the other princesses even appear jealous. Why else would Luna be smiling? This seems to me to be Lunar Republic propaganda! ponysquare.com/file/pic/poll/2012/04/62bcc12e4a35725a8f04e3c1288fd417.jpg
On a serious note, I'll see about writing a review of Chapters 1-3 soon (once 3 is released), though Ponysopher's thoughts have me thinking that I should reread the Inferno and Paradise Lost for a little more background info.
