Yes, very good news today. A little while ago, Like the 4th of Decemeber, I sent a special Christmas present to my beloved Raposa. It disappeared for a while... until it finally appeared yesterday morning (afternoon for her). In that special package for my special somepony was a very special ring (which explains my reaction to it being lost for a month as less than happy, more like livid with unfathomable rage). She loved the ring, however it didn't fit too well on her right hand, which in Brazil is the customary place to put a ring given to you by a steady boyfriend or girlfriend. So, being cleverly clever, I casually suggested she try it on her left hand. It fit perfectly. I then performed what was possibly the most ridiculously romantic thing I have ever done in my entire life: I proposed to her via Skype call. She accepted. Needless to say, I was pretty extatic. All of yesterday was spent grinning like a dork. I of course have a ring identical -- if a bit larger -- to the one that I gave to her, and I have to say, I very much enjoy having it on my left hand. I'm still getting used to having it there and I'm still somewhat convinced I dreamt it all... But wow, I'm engaged...

So, by the end of May/beginning of June I plan to move to Brazil and marry her within the first two months that I'm there. I would rather tie the knot imediately but unfortunately I can't do that legally. The nice thing though is that I'll be able to apply for a permanent visa and not get deported for forgetting to renew my tourist visa and/or be required to leave the country after 180 days.

Holy crap... I'm frikken engaged...
