Lanterns in Equestria fic

So basically, spontaneously one would say, I had the idea of the Lantern Corps spreading to Equestria. Now I have the sudden urge to do it but I would rather know if people would actually want it!

I have an general concept for the beginning such as a Green Lantern being sent to Equestria on a mission the spread the Corps to Equestria, as it has potential recruits for the Green Lanterns. Plus I think it would be cool to start adding the other Lantern Corps such as the Sinestro Corps and all the others, after all Equestria has an abundance of possible recruits!

Furthermore I would most likely add romance to this story, as all Lantern Corps are composed of hundreds of different races, it would be acceptable. I hope people take to this idea because I am really wanting to write it now and I would love to know if I am supported on this!

It is probably just me geeking out but I think it sounds pretty good and the emotional spectrum of the Lanterns would fit in with the nature of MLP very nicely I think. If you guys can think of any ideas please tell me as I would appreciate it!

EDIT 21/1/14: Right the intro would be set in an alternate universe where all the Lantern Corps are each part of a council, barely held together but still united. The Guardians of the Universe have pretty much been killed in the latest series of attack from an unknown entity, thankfully they managed to create a simple message before their demise. Their message was simple and one word only, Equestria. The recently new leader of the Green Lanterns, Lycus Charon, has set out to find what this "Equestria" is and after following the co-ordinates linked with the message has found a new world where he may find many new recruits and a new threat..............
