I posted my first story. I have obtained a spine! Yaaaaaaaaaay!
Thanks to everyone who's given feedback and for the favorites (now and in the future!).
Chapter 1 of my next story is even written. I do have a question for anyone who happens to spy this:
I was probably going to write the whole thing and post it all at once. Is that considered okay or is there some problem with slapping up a complete story all at once? Does it depend on length?
I would suggest that you post one chapter a day, and to say so very clearly in author's notes or in the description. That strings out the suspense, but not for too long. Also, from personal experience, I'd suggest you have it fully written before posting the first chapter.

Regarding updates, I would suggest writing the whole thing beforehand, and then posting one chapter at a time, at an update rate of your choosing.
I myself am a good example of why updating a story while still writing it is not a good idea.

I'm still experimenting.
I'd mostly just write the whole story out beforehand because it would give me maximum time to spot errors and make sure continuity is lacking excessive holes. Needed since this fic I posted is the first fiction I've written in....er.....um.....12 years? Give or take. I remember loathing to reread my own work, so I figured time to sit on things would be helpful.
Try not to die from the flakes of rust I may be emitting.
